Every year, Community State Bank in Union Grove gives out the Frank Lamping Community Service Award to someone who goes above and beyond in serving the community. This video was made to announce the award winner for 2024, Jason Callewaert. Read about this award here.

Making this video consisted of a full day of interviews straight into a weekend of editing for a quick turnaround. One of my favorite parts of editing this type of project is how every time you take a break from the footage, the story that needs to be “cut down” becomes clearer. This process reminds me of editing a speech or an essay - the content gets trimmed to efficiency with every revision, and your brain puts together the pieces differently even when you’re not looking at the content. Sometimes even when you’re sleeping. That’s awesome.
